released in 2007. james murphy is just a remarkable writer who makes you feel deep within yourself. i've been thinking a lot about grief and death lately and this song has a level of depth and understanding that transcends its format. i completely adore this whole album.

this year is the year of film, at least for me. i have made an effort to go watch more films and to be around others more; it is quite hard as someone whose natural predisposition is to be alone, but i want to accept the company of others and be less lonesome. most importantly, i am taking advantage of under 25 tickets whilst i can.
out of all the films i've watched so far, the one that resonated the most with me was magnolia by paul thomas anderson. you may be asking, why? (even if you aren't, just work with me here), and my answer is because it did happen.

article about david thomsen who was a big time wikipedia editor. unfortunately, he passed away in 2022 but his legacy lives on. he was also the creator of the iconic 'wikipedia editor' design which i am trying to embroider onto some clothing for charlie's christmas present. thomsen was dedicated to his work and people like him are vital in keeping the site alive, give it a read!
blog post about mai zetterling whom i adore. i watched the girls at the bfi in may and fell absolutely in love with it. it is such a special film and one of the best, if not the best, film in feminist cinema. i have been researching zetterling like crazy and i watched the start of 'scrubbers' in the little bfi booths - was such a shock that george harrison executive produced it.
sat in a cafe listening to beauty and a beat to procrastinate writing my formative.

as i make my way home i am reminded of this website. i'm sorry for neglecting you. been super busy making friends and trying to be less of a recluse. i've been throwing myself into arts and crafts at the moment, currently been crocheting like crazy! i made this laura palmer filet crochet thing - i need to add a picture when i'm back - she's a bit busted but it is my first project so i am ALLOWEDDDD. i really want to make jewellery, i have dreamed of it for such a long time, and i think now is the time.

okay long time no see. i've been busy off in the world, doing things, law exams, doing nothing, dreading coding. but from the mist, i have returned.
